How are teeth priced?

All the teeth sold on this website come from my private collection. Generally, it's difficult to actually make money selling fossils, as nice fossils are  expensive to purchase even for someone reselling them such as myself. Prices are set in one of two ways. The first way is to look on other websites , ebay and Faebook/Instagram and see what prices teeth are fetching in the different conditions. My goal is to sell teeth at a competitive price. The other way is to consider how badly I do or do not want to sell one of my teeth. The ones I really like are still for sale, but since I'm happy to keep them, I've set the prices higher. I am willing to negotiate on certain teeth, so if you see something you like and think the price is wrong, send me a message and let's chat! Many of the teeth I'm selling are very high quality but with a single major flaw, like a chip on the edge from a pick axe, or the tooth was broken and glued together. These teeth are highly discounted relative to the prices they would fetch without the defect.

Where else can I get Indonesian Megs?

Indonesian megs can be purchased from a number of online sources, such as ebay, fossil dealers and social media sights.

Ebay is full of Indonesean megs, but it's a risky place because many sellers are either dishonest about the condition of the tooth, or often times just ignorant of how to spot hidden repairs. Most of the lower cost Indonesean megs have extensive root repairs, and often they are very poorly done. Another common thing to see, even from reputable fossil dealers, is matrix embedded within the roots. While many nice teeth have some matrix embedded within a pitted matrix, this should certainly lower the price relative to Indo megs with a full and well preserved root. All this being said, many nice Indo megs are on ebay, but you will need to generally pay higher prices for the nice ones that aren't marred with poor repair work.

A number of online vendors have very nice Indo megs, such as Buried Tresure Fossils (https://www.buriedtreasurefossils.com/), Fossil Era (https://www.fossilera.com/) and Marks Fossils (https://marksfossils.com/).

A number of vendors sell Indonesian Megs on social media sites like Instagram and Facebook. These can be bit more risky, as often times these are sellers in Indonesia and may or may not know much about Megalodon fossils. Also, it's hard to know if the fossil showing up from Indonesia will be fully dried or sill have color for the moisture in the mineralization. Still the same, some sellers (e.g. Pey Megalodon) sell very nice teeth and are quite trustworthy.
